Wanting to tackle its chronic absenteeism rate, the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) is developing a new early warning dashboard which will help educators identify students who may be at risk of not graduating and help schools direct resources accordingly.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded a total of $40 million to four major universities and minority-serving institutions to establish new research centers of excellence as part of its Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority-serving Institutions (HBCU/MI) Research and Education Program.

Baylor University and McLennan Community College (MCC) have launched the Central Texas Cyber Range (CTCR), which aims to provide comprehensive research in cybersecurity and cyber resilience and training for the cybersecurity workforce to address critical  needs at the local, national, and international levels.

Cyber.org, a cybersecurity workforce development organization that targets K-12 students, announced that it has translated its career resources and curricula to Spanish and partnered with Spanish-serving organizations and institutions to help reach diverse communities across the country.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has committed an additional $38 million in funding for the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF), which provides funding for digital tools and services to support students.

The Ohio State University (OSU) received $125,000 in grant funding from the Ohio Department of Development to help establish high-speed internet connectivity to Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Molly Caren Agricultural Center in London, Ohio. The center will be used as a demonstration area and proving grounds for autonomous farming equipment.
