NAF, an education nonprofit, has launched a free web-based platform intended to expand access and opportunities for high school student by helping them gain professional experience and career skills.
The platform – KnoPro – offers any high school-grade student the opportunity to tackle real-world problems faced by business leaders, receive feedback from industry mentors, and grow their professional skills and resumes.
The platform is a partnership between NAF, industry leaders, and corporations. It was developed in collaboration with high school students on NAF’s Student Advisory Council, who helped with the design and playtesting of the platform.
“After a year of successfully piloting and iterating with our network and partners to bring KnoPro to life, the time has finally come,” said Lisa Dughi, NAF’s CEO.
“We know that the future is now, and we are thrilled to celebrate this launch,” she said. “The world today is technology-driven and it is critical for NAF to be at the forefront of innovative thinking in support of all students. We can’t wait to witness the impact that KnoPro will have on the next generation of talent on their journey to becoming future ready.”
The platform gives students access to Daily SkillBuilders, which are 10-15 minute real-world activities designed to both be fun to do and to increase students’ future-ready skills, including critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Students can also earn points and prizes by using the platform on a regular basis.
