The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) today released the finalists for its State IT Recognition Awards that recognize “outstanding information technology achievements in state government” in 10 categories, according to a NASCIO release.
“For thirty years, NASCIO awards have honored exemplary state information technology projects,” said Denis Goulet, commissioner, Department of Information Technology, State of New Hampshire and awards committee co-chair. “These awards provide a national platform to honor states and project teams on a job well done and to demonstrate the integral and transformative nature IT can have on state government and the experiences of citizens.”
To determine finalists, a volunteer committee of judges comprised of NASCIO members reviewed more than 120 submissions and selected the finalists. The award recipients will be announced during a ceremony at the NASCIO Annual Conference this October in San Diego, Calif.
Because the awards highlight innovation and best practices in state government, all award submissions are added to NASCIO’s awards library by later this month so other states can learn from leaders in the field.
