Dan Wolf, the Virginia Information Technologies Agency’s (VITA) first-ever chief administrative officer, announced he stepped down from his post last week – July 22 was his last day.

Wolf has served at the VITA for over five years, serving in a variety of roles such as deputy chief information officer, chief of staff, as well as interim director and policy director of legal and legislative services.

“During my time here, I’ve had the unique opportunity to work with an incredible team on the types of programs that can keep Virginia business moving, enable critical government services, and change lives for the better,” Wolf wrote in a LinkedIn post.

“Together, we have successfully migrated our IT services to a cloud-centric MSI model that other state IT agencies crave,” he added. “We have rebranded our agency and found a new voice together.”

Additionally, Wolf noted other accomplishments including moving to new office space; creating the first diversity, equity, and inclusion program in VITA’s history; and keeping staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

VITA has yet to announce a new chief administrative officer and the job application remains open.
