The state of Ohio has launched the Ohio Career Navigator, which is a new tool on OhioMeansJobs.com designed to help state residents find workforce resources.
Ohio Lt. Gov. John Husted said that the career navigator tool brings resources from across multiple state agencies into one place, making the process of finding relevant information faster and easier. Through the navigator, residents will be able to find information regarding skills training, advanced education opportunities, and help on achieving their career goals.
“Ohio offers a variety of resources for those on their career or education journey, and it may be difficult for them to navigate if they don’t know where to start,” said Lt. Governor Husted. “Through Career Navigator, accessing the information you need is more personalized and centrally located so you can determine the best pathway for you. Now that the tool has launched, we look forward to collecting feedback from users and further improving on the technology so that it can be an even more helpful resource to Ohioans.”
To use the navigator, residents will complete a survey that tailors personalized content and services for their specific needs. The survey will help connect individuals to comprehensive and up-to-date information from state and external sources. The tool will continue to be improved upon as residents and state agencies provide feedback.
“Ohio’s diverse economy means there are career opportunities to match anyone’s skills and interests,” said Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director Matt Damschroder. “The Career Navigator is the newest among a wide variety of resources available at your local OhioMeansJobs Center or OhioMeansJobs.com.”
