The Ohio State University has hired Rob Lowden as the university’s new chief information officer (CIO), according to updates provided by Lowden on his LinkedIn account.

The state of Ohio is partnering with The Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College, and the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio to offer free, broadband-related job training.

The Ohio State University (OSU) will use $3 million in state funding to design curriculum for Ohio’s Broadband and 5G Sector Partnership to help develop a skilled broadband workforce, according to a press release from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.
