The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) said on March 1 that  it is seeking input on how to structure $2.7 billion in broadband grant programs to “ensure everyone in America has the digital skills and devices they need to realize the full potential of high-speed internet access.”

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced on Dec. 16 its award of five grants – totaling over $18.5 million – to minority-serving institutions as part of the Connecting Minority Communities (CMC) Pilot Program.

Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., introduced a $94 billion Accessible, Affordable Internet for All Act in the House and Senate, respectively. The bill also has the support of Clyburn’s Rural Broadband Task Force, composed of 27 House Democrats.
