The Department of Agriculture (USDA) made its first investment under its ReConnect pilot program to support broadband availability, offering $2.85 million to a local service provider in Tennessee, the department announced October 18.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced $4.7 million for its Distance Learning and Telemedicine program, which will support 18 projects across 16 states.

Unisys announced a $232 million award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for cloud and application modernization services. Unisys will support USDA’s Rural Development Comprehensive Loan Program.
