The Biden administration has tapped the Departments of Homeland Security (DHS), Education (ED), Health and Human Services (HHS), and Justice (DOJ) to launch a public awareness campaign to highlight Federal school safety resources and evidence-based practices available through SchoolSafety.gov.

Late last month, the Department of Education and NASA signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) intended to strengthen the collaboration between the two agencies. The agencies pledged to work more closely on their joint efforts to increase access to high-quality science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and space education to students and schools across the nation.

GDIT has won a $121.8 million contract from the Department of Education (DoE) to modernize the agency’s Federal Student Aid (FSA) processing system, allowing students to more efficiently receive Federal aid for higher education.

The Department of Education (DoE) has released new updates to its College Scorecard that are intended to make the tool more useful for students and families weighing college options. DoE said that updates may also be beneficial to school counselors, college access providers, researchers, and other critical stakeholders.
