New York City’s Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is launching a new digital learning hub that will connect 330,000 New Yorkers living in public housing with free access to technology-related skills training.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that another 40,000 public housing residents across the city now have access to free internet and basic cable.
New York City launched a new digital equity program, called “Big Apple Connect,” on Sept. 19 that will provide free high-speed internet and basic cable TV to about 300,000 New Yorkers living in more than 200 New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments by the end of 2023.
