With a distinguished 23-year tenure at the City of Miami, Arturo Duque serves as the Interim Chief Information Officer and Director of Innovation and Technology. As a results-driven leader, Mr. Duque has built an impressive career managing information technology across diverse sectors, including consumer, financial, and public services. His extensive experience includes overseeing the development, support, integration, and implementation of major enterprise software applications, such as ERPs, Land Management Software, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Currently, Mr. Duque is actively engaged in laying the foundation, setting the guardrails, and providing business guidance for the implementation of AI in the public sector. His vision is to harness cutting-edge technologies to tackle urban challenges and improve the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors. Through fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, Mr. Duque aims to set the stage for impactful technological advancements that benefit the broader community.
Before his tenure with the City of Miami, Mr. Duque gained valuable experience with Equitable Life, Johnson & Johnson, and Banco de Occidente. He holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from CUNY and an MBA from PACE University in New York.
